GNC visited Virgo Fidelis Minor Seminary


Like announced last week Good News Choir was expected to sing at Virgo Fidelis on 17th April, a selection of 60 members choir members were accompanied by Members of executive board namely President Astaire, Vice President Regis, Secretary Queen Quibuka and Treasurer Grace as they visited Virgo Fidelis Minor Seminary.  The mass started at 10:30AM, the mass was hosted all Three priests Spiritual Father, Rector of the school and a visiting priest. The choir sang a range of Easter songs and spread cheer and gave seminary students warm smiles.  Choir members as always were exemplary and have been invited back for a visit anytime!

In his speech President Astaire said that being a choir member while you are still schooling at seminary or a nun’s school is a good thing that helps you and prepare you for real life out here where things change instantly and people needs to be spiritually mature to cope up with the existing situations. Apart from advising President Astaire on behalf of Good News agreed to partner with seminary school by letting their students rehearsal with us during holidays where they will be recognized as part time members and later after school become our full-time members. He also stated that Visit at Virgo Fidelis was an emotionally-charged and thoroughly memorable and inspiring occasion for all present.

In addition to the mass, Good News visited the school to learn more about Virgo Fidelis and the students who attend that school especially musicians and talented and interested singers Seminary students welcomed Good News members as they visited the school and had lunch with them at the so called “Inzu y’ubugingo


Good People took lunch together with Seminary students

Following lunch, choir members then worked hard all afternoon with the Seminary choir sharing music experience through singing and playing piano. “Your music seems different and transformed compared to our music and music of other choirs we used to have here” says the Seminary choir master Mr. Jabilo.
