Good Tour Started at St Michael Cathedral

Good News Choir has traveled extensively around Butare Parishes decades. But only country tour remained elusive yesterday. In preparation for its 20^th Anniversary Good News Choir started a country which started yesterday in Kigali City at St Michael Cathedral where they celebrated a mass there with its awesome community, the mass started at 9:00AM and about 60 choir members made it there where they sang a collection of good songs in English, Swahili, … like Glory to you Alone, I was the one, I will sing, Baba Mwema, Napesi,.. The choir was directed by Choir master Joachim and one us and current GNF member Mr Ben Soda.

In that holy mass about 13 children got their first Eucharist sacrament, Catholics believe the Eucharist, or Communion, is both a sacrifice and a meal. We believe in the real presence of Jesus, who died for our sins. As we receive Christ's Body and Blood, we also are nourished spiritually and brought closer to God. After mass current GNC members had a chance to meet former members and founders of Good News Choir where they had few minutes talk for they are all eager for 20^th Anniversary.

After mass celebration choir continued to CHUK in charity act where they provided some basic materials for patients in that hospital. In his closing remarks President Astaire stated that we should thank God for He kept us together since morning till now, we came from different directions came to sing we did it great and finally our charity act is successful I don’t know but only God knows how much blessings each of received today and this will continue. He continued stressing that the Country Tour has started and we should call up everyone else to attend rehearsal and all choir activities to make this tour successful. No charity act photos for hospital protocols says it is not allowed to take pictures in hospital

The tour will include concerts, masses and exchanges with local choirs in various parts of the country we will visit, the next mass celebration will be at Kimisagara Parish on 19^th June at 5:00PM, rehearsals will continue at Centre Christus Remera every Friday at 5:00PM and Sunday 3:00PM.
