Good
News Choir breaks a record of receiving a big number of members from abroad
especially from the neighboring countries Burundi and Kenya. From its beginning
GNC has never been a one nationality choir instead it has been a multinational choir with different people from various angles of the world but since 2009 a
huge number of Burundians who are actively into Catholic Church they used serve
from GNC, and in recent months GNC started receiving participants from Kenya
most of them are here for a short period mostly 2 months, this brought up a
discussion of why do all those people choose GNC? In his weekly speech
President Astaire states that “Though our choir celebrate an English mass but
it normally sings in 9 languages which enables many Christians from any country
to feel comfortable with us for musically they can communicate with us” He
continued saying that GNC a place where music fills the air, a place
that is warm, not only in climate, but in atmosphere. a place where language
poses no boundaries, a place where people of different cultures and countries
come together to share the common language of song.

Last week, we received a couple of 4 new part time
members from Kenya and Tanzania they all loved the mood our choir has, organization,
how people are motivated, a so welcoming culture and the prayer of every Tuesday.
Henry Commissioner in charge of social affairs says that the welcoming culture
and happy mood is a legacy that every Good News generation has to keep for it
is what makes us one in our Lord Jesus Christ. Remember Commission of Social
Affairs is among the seven commissions plus the organization committee that
make up the extended committee.
