Like soldiers prepare for battle with all their effort and all means that is what it takes for a choir to prepare and organize a concert, the last weekend was one of the weekends people across the country have been waiting for, due to the fact that it was the one in which the GOOD NEWS CHOIR Praise and worship Mega concert was set. “We had recruited eligible singers this year and in accordance to our performance in various concert and holy masses we had previously we knew that it will require us to work hard to make our concert so perfect” said President Astaire

The concert was supposed to start at 7:00PM but due to different reasons people took a while to get to the parish where the concert was supposed to take place, around 7:30PM the show started where Communaute del’Emmanuel took the stage, they performed several songs and after a while GNC in their usual blue and white gauns for girls and white shits with  black trousers joined the stage too to support Communaute del’Emmauel and warm up getting ready for extra ordinary performance and people were still coming in huge number and guests also were there by then, Chorale Le Bon Berger, Illuminatio Choir, Chorale La Fraternite and Christus Vincit Choir all the way from Kigali they were there all there and ready to perform.

Around 8:15PM GNC reentered the church for the first stage in a new look everyone around got surprised for this time they came not in their usual gauns but in special kits designed for the concert where men still were in their black trousers and ladies in white tops and kitenge skirts and it looked awesome even the way they entered the stage was superb, at first stage they sang three songs which are Ain’t got no time to die, I will sing, My soul’s been anchored in the Lord. "Everyone worked really hard to learn their parts with many informally getting together in each other's voice group to work on the more challenging musical rhythms and harmonies," President Astaire said.

This time there were a number of choirmasters and among them for the very first time in five years in concert GNC had a choir mistress who even did it. The concert seemed so organized and full of variety performances from different choirs and people apart from singing, GNC members from Burundi had a super performance where they danced a Kirundi gospel song and people in the parish couldn’t resist moved from their comfort sits went close to the stage to take videos, beside that the GNC ongoing class of 2016 too performed a good drama and people who were around enjoyed. Choir Master Pacis Also performed a piano play and it rocked down people. In general for the very first time the parish was full a one choir concert from the beginning to the end, the concert ended at 1:00AM people still felt like don’t wanna go it was superb.

Claude an attendant from this parish said that He believes the Praise and Worship concert is a unique event that goes beyond any other concert held in St Dominic Parish. He says, as the name suggests, it's a Praise and Worship Fiesta designed to honour God. And not only does the concert afford patrons an avenue to worship and adore Christ while having some 'holy fun', the event also contributes to other worthy causes. Holy mass and Choir Feast

Like people had a superb night back at the parish in the concert, they came ready in the morning for the holy mass normally which was a thanksgiving mass for what Lord has done for the outgoing class of 2016, the outgoing class of 2016 is made of 66 people whom the church and choir gave good byes

on 1^st May, the thanksgiving mass started at 11:00AM and like it was a surprise in the concert this time also the outgoing class of 2016 wore a unique dressing code white dresses and red shoes for ladies while men wore black suits and red ties, the mass went good where the priest blessed the class of 2016 and wished them all the bests out there in the real word.

Straight after mass, choir members and guests went to GSOB Hall for the feast where the feast were hosted by  MC Marie Paule and Boston Alan, apart from having meals and drinks together there were also some amazing performance from different people especially from the ongoing and outgoing classes of 2016, entertainers,.. for the choir is built by its members the outgoing class of 2016 gave the choir a bunch of materials to use in daily activities of the choir such as Printer, 2 bags to carry gauns and books, choir T Shirts, a light to use in concert and a wardrobe to keep choir gauns.
