Counrty Tour lead to a long term Collabo and partnership with Caritas Choir

Choir partnership exists to inspire young people from all backgrounds to achieve the highest standards of choral singing. Straight after mass GNC sang at St Pierre Parish they were officially welcomed at St Pierre parish in the parish hall where they had a good talk and discussion with different officials from parish especially those from Parish choirs association and those from Caritas Choir and Cholare Artisans du Paix that alternate to sing French masses every Sunday 5:00PM. Both Good News Choir and Caritas Choir performed variety of songs and later a common song that embodied all choirs around. Different people there took the flow for some speeches like President of Caritas Turatsinze Jean Bosco who took the flow to welcome GNC and also introduce his choir members and committee to visitors (GNC). In his speech Mr. Bosco said that Caritas choir is pleased to have you here, this idea of having a partnership with is us a great one, it is your first time here but we don’t want it to be the last one because the partnership we started today means a lot to us and it in that case we are offering you the proof of that partnership and relationship which is a “CERTIFICATE OF COLLABORATION” between Caritas choir through parish and Good News Choir so that anyone who will join any of us will know that on 19^th June 2016 we started a long-term collaboration and partnership. Caritas Choir President stressed that the partnership with Good News Choir should last longer

Caritas choir is mature choir for it is 10years old and 9years young than GNC, through that 10years journey caritas choir has had different choir members’ students, parents, young girls and boys from high schools. It is the first choir to start French mass celebration at St Pierre parish and they aim high as Good News does. Mr. Isange Alain Astaire GNC president grew also in Caritas Choir

In his speech GNC president Astaire stressed on thanking Caritas choir for making him love to sing that much which lead him to GNC when he came to continue his studies at former National University of Rwanda. He again talked about why GNC sings in several languages where he said that Rwanda is an open country to everyone across the globe so we intend to help all those who come from different backgrounds celebrate mass in languages they are comfortable with. He continued stating the main reasons they are at St Pierre where he said that 1. We are here to proclaim the good news of the Lord through singing, 2. To create a good and strong relationship with Caritas choir which is now in a written agreement as you have seen, 3. To welcome especially youth who will come to UR Huye campus to join Good News Choir without hesitation, we are here also to start a partnership with the parish so that anytime we can request mass here our wish may be filled. Mr. President officially invited Caritas choir to the 20^th Anniversary of Good News Choir next year 2017.

Mr Jean Luc who represented the Parish Choirs association approved the GNC request that anytime they want to sing there they can contact him to arrange that. After that Father Edison blessed the partnership and everyone around then the event was closed.  This partnership with Caritas choir is further step to other partnership Good News Choir has with other choirs such us Chorale La Fraterinite, Chorale le Bon Berge, Chorale Illuminatio all from St Dominic University Parish and Christus Vincit Choir, Christ the King Choir, Angels Voices Choir from Kigali City
