On
Tuesday, November 16th, Good people didn't do the usual rehearsal, Instead
we were gathered in In one of the biggest classes in Mamba buildings,
due to a big number of good people that can't be accommodated
by any class.
So we skipped the rehearsal to witness the good handover, where
the outgoing committee handing duties to the ongoing committee.
The handover didn't take a long time, because of an other important
program on the agenda, It started with handing duties to voice leaders and it proceeded
to leaders of different commissions in Good news and ended with handing duties
to The executive committee.

After the final remarks from the outgoing President, the ongoing
president started exercising his duties and carried out the General Assembly.
IRADUKUNDA Patrick the new Good News Choir President started
by Thanking God for the Life, the mission that we've been called to, and for
the trust entrusted to the new committee.
He continued by thanking the out going committee and added
that they are still one of the pillars of the choir. He also pointed on our respect
between us as choir memberes and between us and our leaders. And also He
insisted on keeping the Pace we had.
He continued by pointing out the Main 6 Points that the
General assembly was going to focus on which are:
1. The choir : He said that sings
well praises twice and added on that our main reason for being in the choir is
to sing and pray and the we should the icons of Unity peace and love. With the
help of the Exe-president, he gave an overview of the history of GNC that
started on 14/7/1997 with few members with different struggles and the language
barrier problem. Despite of that in 2005 the choir had already made its first CD
audio. It moved from 54 members in 2010 to 180 active members in 2015.
2. Our Choir
clothes : The president said that uniformity the of our holy clothes is the
symbol of our common holy mission we should be taking care of our holy clothes a little bit
more. They are not the clothes to be decorated in our rooms and wardrobes.
3. Yearly project Apart from usual actions of each year recollections, pilgrimages, visiting sick
people, but this year's projects there is an addition of the 20th anniversary
preparation, He insisted that everyone should start getting a clear picture of
what it would be done to make it memorable. And there is an on going project of
the second CD audio preparation and is more concerned with the commission of music.
4. Choir contribution : For the daily
expenses of the choir, everyone's contribution is needed, the choir is there
for us, and we should be there for it, its everyone's responsibility. And apart
from that, there was an overall presentation of financial management of choir's
income and contributions.
5. Discipline : Mr KARANGWA Emmanuel, the Vice president talked
about our discipline in Rehearsal, Visits, and being a good example to everyone,
and also our discipline in the church and noted that we should be cautious because
we represent something bigger.
Finally it was time for questions, suggestions, and AoBz.
After that , we concluded our two events with a Prayer.
We have so many expectations
in the ongoing committee, but we should be ready to collaborate, an very
committed ,making sacrifices so that we do perfectly the mission we've been
called to do.
