Good news choir meets chorale la Fraternite

On Saturday  4^th march 2017 , two  choirs from Saint Dominic parish that sing in two different languages but serving  the same God,   Good News Choir(GNC) and chorale la Fraternite met in sport and social activities at Don Bosco Rango. After a long period of time both choirs trying to meet again in unforgettable activities, the time came for  those activities that included different sports, basketball, football, volleyball and one of our childhood game known as “bille”, there was another activity “cacahuete”.

 You can judge a day on how good it will be by how good it starts. Our day started with our Novena for the trip to the holy land of KIBEHO that will take place this coming Saturday, thereafter we cleaned the church that same morning. So Good news member went on to prepare for the event that was going to take place in that afternoon.

 At 1:00 PM In a good dress code of red T-shirts for Good people and black T-shirts for les Fraternelle, we all went down to Rango where all activities were supposed to take place and it was very good because we kept time, and everything started at the right time. As for any Christian community, all the activities were preceded by a Prayer.  After the Prayer, we all continued with a short warm-up and GYM-tonic, as we were heading to main games that were going to take place. Players preparing themselves for big games, Dj’s playing music and different entertainers putting in the mood.

So the basketball game started, fans we tirelessly supporting their teams, player determinedly working hard to win the game. Finally the team that worked harder won the game, Good News choir won the game. Happy fans didn’t hesitate to show their profound happiness, from the basketball pitch they continued to the volleyball pitch.

A pioneer in the game

On this pitch miracles happened. The volleyball game started when chorale la Fratenite was ahead of us in scoring, they playing very well. But good players with that spirit of being good and proud decided to do what we call a comeback, and they won the game too, two sets of GNC to one of la Fraternite , emotions were allover everyone’s face. That happiness again took them to another field

The football field, both teams were physically ready for the football match, but Good football players were on pressure because their fellow brothers had won their games, were they the ones to be defeated? I don’t think so. With skilled players, new and fantastic football tricks, with the same spirit of winning, good news choir won the game. It was amazing. We all won but, just some won less than others but we all won no one failed said the Salesian father.

The father continued avec “le mots du soir” where he asked both choirs to sing songs, starting with Good news choir, and then followed chorale la Fraternite. After that the father reminded us that we are in the time of lent, that it’s the time to pray, time to care for needy and poor and time repent and discontinue sinning.

After the closing Prayer and the blessing from the Salesian father, we continued into the Don Bosco main hall where we played cacahuette, Commission du Loisir from both choirs helped us in picking our cacahuettes. And then came the time of declaration which was very good and fun. That was the last activity of that Saturday.
